Parallelograms is an online artist project exploring the relationship between images and interpretation. Invited artists are given a set of images taken from deliberate web searches and asked to create a web-specific piece in response to one of them.

By highlighting a wide range of artists, Parallelograms explores a fundamental artistic practice: transforming source material into new forms and ideas. Each project presents a unique way of interpreting an individual image in context of the ubiquitous mass of images found online, and provides insight into the individual artist’s way of working.

Projects are posted on a regular basis and updates are sent out via our mailing list. Sign up below.

Parallelograms is organized by Leah Beeferman and Matthew Harvey.
